Thanks to everyone for your input! I've made the correction to the schema and toolkit on the MedBiquitous website.

Valerie,
I agree that the best solution here is to change the schema to make the element "Supporting Link" optional and leave the spec as is.

Ye, you are correct. There is an error; the schema indicates SupportingLink is required, while the specification indicates it is optional.

I've copied the Curriculum Inventory working group just to vet my proposal to resolve this problem, We can update the schema to reflect the element is optional (rather than change the spec and make it required).

Working group members, do you agree with this proposed resolution to make the supporting link optional in the XSD schema?

Many thanks for your help! And thank you, Ye, for catching the error.

Best,
Valerie

In the CurriculumInventorySpecifcation file, page 18, it is said SupportingLink is optional. But from the xsd file, it shows it is required

<xsd:complexType name="CurriculumInventoryType">
<xsd:sequence>
<xsd:element name="ReportID" type="DomainID"/>
<xsd:element name="Institution" type="m:InstitutionInfoType"/>
<xsd:element name="Program" type="ProgramType"/>
<xsd:element name="Title" type="NonNullString"/>
<xsd:element name="ReportDate" type="xsd:date"/>
<xsd:element name="ReportingStartDate" type="xsd:date"/>
<xsd:element name="ReportingEndDate" type="xsd:date"/>
<xsd:element name="Language" type="xsd:language"/>
<xsd:element name="Description" type="NonNullString"/>
<xsd:element name="SupportingLink" type="xsd:anyURI"/>
<xsd:element name="Events" type="EventsType"/>
<xsd:element name="Expectations" type="ExpectationsType"/>
<xsd:element name="AcademicLevels" type="AcademicLevelsType"/>
<xsd:element name="Sequence" type="SequenceType" minOccurs="0"/>
<xsd:element name="Integration" type="IntegrationType" minOccurs="0"/>
<xsd:any namespace="##other" processContents="lax" minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="unbounded"/>
</xsd:sequence>
</xsd:complexType>

I also tested, if I don't include SupportingLink in my xml file, it could not get through.

So please let us know whether SupportingLink is required or not in the future released version.

Thanks
Ye
