I am happy to announce that as of June 9, 2020, MedBiquitous has officially relaunched as a program of the AAMC. Although we had hoped to mark this new chapter in person together in New York, we were able to hold a virtual keynote address featuring Marc Triola, MD (NYU) and Director Johmarx Patton, MD.
The MedBiquitous team at AAMC has worked over the past year to reestablish the long-standing data standards program in support of all of the health professions… but at the end of the day we need you and your input to make this program work.
MedBiquitous is a community of health professions educators and technology innovators that utilize a rigorous consensus process to develop, approve, and disseminate health professions education data standards. This collection of open, free-to-use health professions education and credentialing data standards and technology guidelines creates a common language for data sharing and collaboration that includes standards for competency-based medical education and CE activity reporting.
We invite former members of the MedBiquitous Consortium and those seeking to join for the first time to apply for participation. More information on the application process can be found here.
If you have additional questions about the MedBiquitous Program and what it means for your organization to be involved, please feel free to contact us at email@example.com.
...And for more on the history of the program, a two-way interview with former Deputy Director Valerie Smothers can be found here.
