Formats
Half-day Workshop
A three-hour, interactive small group session providing in-depth information and hands-on work with a single topic. Cross-organizational teams of presenters are encouraged to submit.
Panel Presentation
A 15 minute presentation to be grouped with other presentations on the same or similar topic. A question answer period will follow the entire group of presentations.
Technology Demonstration
A 20 minute session demonstrating technologies that implement MedBiquitous and other learning technology standards applicable to healthcare education and competence assessment. Each session will include 10 minutes of demonstration and a 10 minute question and answer period. The demonstration will be given to small groups of attendees five times over a 100 minute period as attendees circulate among the demonstrations of greatest interest to them. This format is intended to provide an opportunity for direct interaction between attendees and standards implementers. As a consideration to fellow presenters, refrain from using external speaker systems.
How to Submit
All abstracts must be received by November 14.
To submit, complete the online abstract submission form. The first time you access the system, you will be required to register as a guest to get a user id and password. If you submitted an abstract last year, you may use the same user id and password. Abstracts are limited to 200 words.
Those submitting abstracts for half-day workshops must include clearly stated learning objectives and a description of interactive exercises.
A projector will be available for each workshop, presentation, or demonstration. If other audiovisual equipment is required, please list those requirements. Wireless Internet access will be available for panel presentations and technology demonstrations only.
Registration
Acceptance of an abstract is conditional upon the presenter’s registration for the MedBiquitous Annual Conference 2009 by March 31.
