The Scientific Committee for the MedBiquitous Annual Conference and 2nd International Conference on Virtual Patients is seeking high-quality abstracts for panel presentations and technology demonstrations related to virtual patients, e-learning resources, and social networking and their use for health education. The conference will take place April 26-28, 2010 in London. Abstracts are due November 1 and may be submitted online.

Formats

Panel Presentation

A 15 minute presentation to be grouped with other presentations on the same or similar topic. A question and answer period will follow once all the panelists have presented.

Technology Demonstration

A 20 minute session demonstrating innovative technologies including those that implement MedBiquitous and other learning technology standards. Each session will include 10 minutes of demonstration and a 10 minute question and answer period. The demonstration will be repeated over a 2 hour period as attendees have the chance to circulate amongst the demonstrations. This format is intended to provide an opportunity for direct interaction between attendees and technology developers. As a consideration to fellow presenters, please refrain from using external speaker systems.

How to Submit

All abstracts must be received by November 14.

To submit, complete the online abstract submission form. The first time you access the system, you will be required to register as a guest to get a user id and password. If you submitted an abstract for the MedBiquitous conference last year, you may use the same user id and password. Abstracts are limited to 200 words excluding title. Description may include background, summary of work, results and conclusions.

A projector will be available for each presentation or demonstration. Wireless Internet access will be available. If other audiovisual equipment is required, please list those requirements.
